Estonian filmmaker Andres Sööt walks the legendary pilgrimage road called Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James) in Northern Spain amond thousands of other pilgrims from all corners of the world. The most popular route of the pilgrimage - the French Way - runs from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port on the French side of the Pyrenees to Roncesvalles on the Spanish side and then another 780km on to Santiago de Compostela. Like several other pilgrims, Sööt won't finish the 800-kilometre-long road at one stretch. In October 2004 he stops his journey in order to continue next spring and finish in Santiago de Compostela. The documentary includes pieces of its author as well as of Spain that has been reflected as honestly as it can be done when traveling alone.
