1989 17m Documentary Tallinnfilm

  • Audio: Estonian
    Subtitles: English, Estoonian

Documentary banned in 1968. Director Ülo Tambek was accused of an unreasonably pessimistic and ideologically incorrect approach to the problems of social transformation or collectivisation of the life of the Estonian rural population, of ironization of the present and of unacceptable romanticization of the past. With the arrival of a new wave of freedom after Ülo Tambek's death, cameraman Toomas Kirdelaht will have the opportunity to finish the film twenty-one years later, in 1989. The directive of the director of Tallinnfilm studio from 1968 is added to the beginning, the rest is exactly the original version of Ülo Tambek.
